I waited for you to come
Like all the other days
Waiting for you to crouch beside me
Listening to the silence
Filled with words I’ll never say
Our conversations are comfortable
I can hide and refuse to meet your eyes Which never seek mine
I can stay out of the reach of the light
You came
But the magic was lost, it was never there
I’ve been in denial, you were a lie
Just like the version of me in the day
The Light has come
He has eyes and seeks to see my soul
I can no longer use you to hide
Forgive me, dear friend
The light has come
I must embrace it
I have remembered what Life is
I must welcome it
